9. Restart the SNMP Service. To do so, right-click SNMP Service in the Services window and select Restart

from the list.

10. Close the Services window.

To verify the function of the SNMP Service

1. Click Start > Run and type cmd to open a DOS window.

2. In the DOS window type: snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost interface | find_"Diva"

The result should be similar to the following, which is for a Dialogic

Media Boards are listed, followed by the

available B-channels.

ifDescr For Diva Media Boards, the board name and it's serial number

are returned. For B-channels, the string "BRI +

ifIndex_of_board + number_of_b- channel_on_board" is

returned.

ifType The type of the interface according to IANA: PRI, BRI, ISDN.

ifMTU Since the concept of MTU is not applicable on Dialogic

Diva

interfaces, they return always 0.

ifSpeed The maximum interface speed in bps

ifAdminStatus Always up

ifOperStatus The current operating status of the interface
