Parameter Reference
Algorithm - Sets the algorithm of the gateway. MD5 is the default hashing algorithm for
authentication as specified by RFC 2617. MD5-sess is the algorithm that employs MD5 hashing
with the use of a session key.
Methods to Challenge - Determines which received SIP methods will be challenged if the
Inbound Authentication Enabled is set to Yes.

Realm - Specifies the Gateway Realm listed in the Inbound VoIP Configuration section.
User Name - Specifies the User Name identifier associated with the Gateway Realm.
Password - Specifies the Password associated with the User Name.
3.6.2 Outbound VoIP (Client)
Outbound VoIP refers to the gateway acting as a client and sending SIP methods (INVITE,
REGISTER, NOTIFY, etc.) to a SIP peer acting as a server. Outbound VoIP could be used to verify
the gateway to a SIP proxy server or other SIP agents.
